Enjoy walking around London's Christmas Lights 2025

2thealps is pleased to publish its December 2025 London Christmas lights map. The displays are looking as glorious as ever with most of last year's making a return for this festive season.

Not surprisingly, the Christmas Lights often attract huge crowds, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, so here are a few suggestions for some of the quieter streets.

Jermyn Street runs parallel to Piccadilly and boasts an impressive display of floating angels similar to Regent Street but with a fraction of the crowds.

If you're lucky, as we were when researching this year's map, you might hear Christmas carols being sung in the adjacent St James Church Piccadilly, if you happen to be passing at the right time.

Mount Street has an attractive and original display but is not a well known tourist destination and is always much quieter than nearby Oxford and Regent Streets.(3 on map)

Savile Row is tucked away just behind Regent Street but is little known beyond local workers and residents (12 on map)

The tree at Waterloo Place is always near the top of our Christmas lights list but also benefits from being in a much quieter part of central London despite being less than a 5 minute walk south from Piccadilly Circus.(2 on map)

And new for this year we've extended our map to include Sloane Street and Sloane Square. It's a little further away but Sloane Street runs between two Tube stations (Sloane Square and Knightsbridge) so is easily reached. The street has an attractive display without the crowds of the better known areas but the best bits are at either end - Sloane Square itself and the gloriously festive facade of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel opposite Knightsbridge Tube, an unexpected highlight of the 2025 displays.
